BLS D/B/A - RI Release Notes v3.1

  • On the business license entry form the application will default, when the "Add New License" button is clicked, the following fields: "City", "State" and "Zip" to the city, state and zip that is entered into the "Business State - Town" form. Also the "Application Type" field will be defaulted to "New" and the "Date Granted" and "Date Expired" fields will be defaulted to the current date.
  • A new field has been added to the business license entry form. This new field is named "Type of Business" and will allow the user to create generic types of businesses to assign to any/all of the businesses entered. Also there has been a new report created, "Licenses By Selected Type of Business" that will allow the user to run a report by the different types of businesses.
  • Different ways of running all the reports have been created so that the user can decide how they want the reports to be run/sorted. Each report can now be run by "Business Name", "Business Owner" and "Business Address".
  • A new check box have been added to each of the options regarding the type of business ("Corporation", "Individual/Partnership" and "LLC") and type of ownership ("Property Owner" and "Tenant"). The check box that was added is named "Unknown" so that in the event that this information is unknown the user can select this option and proceed with the entry of this business. This "Unknown" check box will be the default for these options until a different option is selected.
  • The tab flow has been corrected so that the user can simply click the "Tab" button to move to the next field. This enables the user to enter the appropriate business information without taking their hands off the keyboard.
